Chief Anthony Bejaran was born in Southern California and raised in Ceres. After graduating from Ceres High School, he enlisted in the US Navy. He obtained his Bachelors of Science degree in Criminology from Portland State University and is a 2017 graduate from the Sherman Block Supervisory Leadership Institute. 
 
Chief Bejaran began his career in law enforcement in 1995 with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department as a custodial deputy. He promoted to Deputy Sheriff Coroner in 1999 where he served as a Community Policing Deputy, School Resource Officer, Gang Detective, and Field Training Officer.

He promoted to Sergeant in 2006 and served on Patrol, STING (Special Team Investigating Narcotics & Gangs), General Crimes, and Internal Affairs. Chief Bejaran was also the Public Information Officer for over five years. In 2018 he was promoted to Lieutenant and was appointed as the Chief of Waterford Police Services. Chief Bejaran also manages the Special Vehicle Operations Unit and is also the Law Branch representative for Stanislaus County Office of Emergency Services.
