Undersheriff Ralph Ghimenti
Undersheriff Ralph Ghimenti began his 25-year law enforcement career as a Deputy Sheriff for the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department in 1990. He worked in Adult Detention for the department until August 1991 when he was hired as a lateral transfer by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department. Undersheriff Ghimenti has worked on Patrol, as a Community Deputy assigned to the town of Empire, Field Training Officer, Detective and Bailiff. He was promoted to Sergeant where he held various assignments which included the Crimes Against Persons Unit, Coroner’s Facility, Court Services and Internal Affairs. His promotions to Lieutenant and Captain included assignments in Patrol, Investigations and Administration.
Undersheriff Ghimenti has an Associate’s degree from Modesto Junior College in the Administration of Justice and he has a Bachelor’s degree from Union Institute and University in Criminal Justice Management. He is a graduate of the FBI Hazardous Devices School and he is the Sheriff’s Department Bomb Squad Commander.
