Chief of Police: Chief Lloyd MacKinnon

In September of 2001 the City of Hughson entered into an agreement for the County of Stanislaus to provide law enforcement services for the City of Hughson.

Both full-time and extra-help employees of the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department staff Hughson Police Services. Five Deputy Sheriff positions and one Legal Clerk are fully funded by the City of Hughson. The Lieutenant, who serves as the Police Chief.
