The Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department Adult Detention Division Support Services is dedicated to providing services relating to food, laundry and commissary with continuous efficiency and cost effectiveness, responsive to the needs of staff and incarcerated persons at all detention facilities within the Sheriff's Department. Our goals are to be accurate, comprehensive, competent, efficient, effective, organized, productive, professional, progressive, and responsive.

Central Kitchen:

• Utilizes a Cook/Chill system of food preparation to prepare approximately 5,000 meals per day for incarcerated persons at all the Adult Detention facilities.
• Approximately 22 incarcerated persons work alongside civilian staff in the kitchen.
• Meals are delivered Monday-Friday to each of the facilities.

Central Laundry:

• The Laundry unit utilizes approximately 10 incarcerated individuals to assist in processing close to 3,500 pounds of laundry each day.
• Clothing and linens are delivered each day to the facilities to meet the needs of the incarcerated persons.

Inmate Commissary:

• Commissary provides a service to the incarcerated population where they can purchase hygiene products, food items, recreational supplies, and phone time. 
• Incarcerated persons are allowed to purchase $75 in phone time and $75 in food and hygiene items once per week.
