TOW RELEASE INFORMATION
The following is required:
Current Registration from DMV or moving permit
Must be Registered Owner with Government issued ID
Valid Driver's License
Fees:
$150.00- Stored vehicle released to the registered owner/legal owner
$15.00-Repossession vehicle release
There is no fee for a recovered stolen vehicle
For questions regarding a vehicle towed by the Sheriff’s Office, please contact the Records Division (209) 525-7117.
You are required to obtain the vehicle release authorization prior to going to the tow company to pay storage fees and recover the vehicle.
